"At present, data security has become the most urgent and fundamental security issue in the digital economy era, and strengthening data security governance has become a strategic need to maintain national security and national competitiveness." On Nov. 16, at the Data Security and Governance Summit Forum, Ren Xianliang, Vice Chairman of the Social Construction Committee of the National People's Congress, Secretary General of the World Internet Congress, and President of the China Federation of Internet Societies, pointed out in a video address.

"China's digital security governance has achieved initial results." Ren Xianliang said that the awareness of data security governance has been constantly enhanced, data security related legislation has been gradually improved, and laws and regulations have effectively played a supporting role. In addition, China launched the Global Data Security Initiative last year, committed to jointly building a peaceful, secure, open, cooperative and orderly community of shared future in cyberspace, and providing China's wisdom and solutions for global data security governance.

"Hebei seized the opportunity of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, made new progress in data security, took new steps in data governance and utilization, and demonstrated new achievements in the construction of digital Hebei. The beautiful prospect of a strong network province and digital Hebei is spreading slowly across Hebei province." Dong Fuyin, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and Director of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission Office of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee, introduced.

Focusing on how to strengthen data security governance, Dong Fuyin believes that security firewalls must be firmly built through systematic planning, overall design and coordinated promotion. He also contends that it is necessary to strengthen innovation drive, use new technology to manage and use the network, so that data resources can flow orderly and be used effectively. To accelerate the construction of a network power and a digital China, the key is to focus on the implementation of the end and promote high-quality development.

At the forum, the guests delivered keynote speeches around investment in building a new data security infrastructure, privacy protection and security considerations for global compliance development, and making data use more secure, and released the China's Investment Integration Chain Architecture White Paper.

As one of the 30 parallel forums of the 2022 China International Digital Economy Expo, the Data Security and Governance Summit Forum, with the theme of Digital Leading to Promote Development, Security Governance to Win the Future, was hosted by the Organizing Committee of China International Digital Economy Expo, and organized by the China Federation of Internet Society and Cyberspace Affairs Commission Office of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee.
